Scope against the platform
Forge decides a lot for you: what a trigger fires on, what storage can hold, what runs without egress. We check the idea against those limits first, because that is where app projects fail.
Fix the manifest
Modules, scopes, and permissions agreed up front. Scopes are the expensive decision - adding one later is a major version and every admin has to consent again.
Build and test
The app is built with tests around the logic that matters, deployed to a development environment you control, and reviewed at milestones rather than at the end.
Ship and hand over
Production deploy, documentation, and the security-review paperwork. You can keep it in house from there, or leave the platform upkeep with us.

- What is Atlassian Forge?
- Forge is Atlassian's platform for building apps that run inside Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Compass Cloud. The code runs on Atlassian's own infrastructure rather than on a server you host, which is why Forge apps can be built with no external egress at all - an argument that matters to any customer with a compliance department. It has replaced Connect as the way new Cloud apps are built.
- Have you actually shipped a Forge app?
- Yes. FileWarden is our own app, live on the Atlassian Marketplace, built natively on Forge with zero external egress and through Atlassian's security review. It uses product event triggers, scheduled jobs, Forge KVS storage, a workflow validator, runtime licensing, and a Rovo agent, across both Jira and Confluence. You can install it and read its permissions yourself rather than take our word for any of that.
- Do you work as a subcontractor for Solution Partners?
- Yes, and it is most of what this service is. Custom Jira and Confluence Cloud apps are the only thing we build, so we are not competing for the consulting, migration, or licensing work around them. You keep the client relationship; we deliver the app under your name or ours, whichever you prefer.
- Can our Connect or Data Center app move to Forge?
- Usually, but not always in one piece. Forge runs inside Atlassian's platform, so anything that depended on your own server, arbitrary background processing, or unrestricted network access has to be redesigned or dropped. We answer that in the feasibility sprint, in writing, before anyone commits to a build - including the parts we think should not move.
- How much does a Forge app cost?
- A one-week feasibility sprint is $4,000 and is credited against the build. Most custom apps land between $12,000 and $35,000 depending on the module set, the storage model, and whether Marketplace licensing is involved. A Connect or Data Center migration starts at $15,000. Every engagement is fixed scope and fixed price, agreed before the build starts.
- Will the app pass Atlassian security review?
- We build for it from the start: least-privilege scopes, no egress where the app does not genuinely need it, entitlement checks enforced in the backend rather than the frontend, and the documentation the review asks for. Review is Atlassian's call, not ours, so we do not promise an outcome - we deliver the app ready for it and handle the follow-up questions if any come back.
